Sil-Sol is a cosmetic grade thinner from AFX company (Bluebird) use with RTV silicone and pigment to create fluid washes and spray colours to permanently colour silicones. It’s a safer alternative to solvent more toxic like naphta. Sil-sol can also be used for casting silicones to create a slushable fluid by modifying the viscovity. Just fill your fake head moulds like you used to with latex. Pour, slush, add more layers for extra thickness. You can then fill with poly foam. Some shrinkage will occur but the silicone’s strength won’t be altered. Always use with good ventilation and appropriate filter masks or supplied air apparatus, especially when spraying.
